Twig’s story will start here.
Twig was one with the forest. As far as he could remember, he always had been. The creatures and fae of his home glade had taught, protected and provided for him. He bathed in the streams, and played in the woods. He spoke with faeries and while he slept they mended his scrapes and bruises, softened his calluses and freed him from every malady.

With him was his special friend, Gray. Gray was the biggest wolf he’d ever seen. They were practically the same height when he stood on four paws. They didn’t exactly understand each other, but that was ok. The fae said it was natural. It had only been two seasons since Gray was drawn in. And Gray never hurt him, even when they roughhoused. He even let Twig ride him, which he did now, small hands grabbing lusciously soft fur, his legs slender and bare hanging over side.

The woods were quiet, which is why the fae had sent him out. They could not leave the glade, but he could. They bid him caution, but had little worry. Nothing ever happened here, and his furry companion would protect him if it did.

Unfortunately, something did happen today. Across their path flitted an orb of light. Twig had only a moment’s notice before with a feral growl, Gray bolted after the phantasm of light.

What does Twig do??
