Images require categories too please. If not the story category, the category UserImage. You have also been forgetting to add your category to story pages. If it helps, the category can go anywhere on the page. Putting it at the top of the page before you write anything at all might be a good way to remember to do it. Thanks. --Elerneron (talk) 16:16, 10 December 2021 (CET) | Images require categories too please. If not the story category, the category UserImage. Just a quick reminder. Categories for stories also require categories themselves. The category for a story's category page is the story type for that story. This is not a major issue, just a reminder, like I said. You've picked up the formatting for the site very quickly. I don't think it will be long at all before you earn trusted status. --Elerneron (talk) 17:20, 2 January 2022 (CET)
Welcome back. Trusted status is given to users once I am convinced that they understand and are using the Format Rules properly. One of my jobs as Admin was to patrol EVERY edit on the site. This changed with the whitelist system. Those with trusted status have their edits marked as patrolled automatically. Additionally, you would have some extra privileges. This includes the ability to delete pages, move pages without leaving a redirect, import pages from files or other wikis, etc. Basically things that a bad actor might be able to cause havoc with we wait to give access to after a user has shown us who they are. Often, I am sure a person is not a bad actor, and I'll wait to make sure they understand the rules. I don't have a specific guideline for when I give it, as that needs to be relative to the time a user spends on the site, what they are doing, how often I have to remind them of the rules, etc. I was close to giving you trusted status before you had to go on hiatus. --Elerneron (talk) 03:17, 12 January 2022 (CET)
While I don't consider it a violation of the rules to post your story codes someplace other than the story entry, there might be a better way to do what you want. If you want to be able to edit something in one place and have it affect two or more locations, it's easiest to use a template. Templates can be used for all manner of things. On the site, they are often used for story statistics, but that isn't all that they are good for. Using a template for each of your stories codes section would allow you to edit the template instead of the individual code entries. In any case rule 8.2 is not heavily enforced. It's mainly there so that people can find what they're looking for but are warned before they experience anything with a high likelihood to offend. --Elerneron (talk) 04:39, 14 January 2022 (CET)

You have been granted rights as a Trusted Contributor. This will allow you to do a bit more on the site, including moving pages without creating redirects and deleting pages among others. I hope this little powerup is helpful. --Elerneron (talk) 04:00, 12 January 2022 (CET) |
