Well, why not recruit Jan to help with the babies? You bet it would be even easier to bring that into sex than it would be with Summer.
"Actually, I was thinking Summer looks like she needs a break. Do you want to help me watch the kids for a little while? I think I know why you are so excited about hanging out with me and March, and I promise to let you hang out with us if you help me out here," You tell her.
"Uhh... huh?" Jan stammers.
"Is that Ok with you?" You ask Summer.
"Seriously?" March whispers from off to your side.
"Yeah, seriously. It'll be fine," you whisper back.
Meanwhile, Summer is giving you a gentle smile. "I'd like that, yeah," she says, a little cautiously. "Why are you so helpful all of a sudden anyway? This is a little weird."
Crap. Yeah, you hadn't exactly accounted for that. You really have been mostly avoiding babysitting duty before today, so this would look a little strange to Summer you'd imagine.
"Well, I just felt like it wasn't really fair you were always getting stuck on babysitting duty, so I decided maybe I should start helping. Maybe I can do a little work to get you some more help if I play my cards right too," you say.
"No, you don't have to do all that! It's fine." Summer says. "I mean, I do appreciate you helping out here, but it's fine. You don't have to..."
"Yeah, I got you," you say, not wanting to push the issue when she obviously seems uncomfortable with all the sudden developments. Your enhanced people skills say it would be bad to be forceful here, especially when just showing with actions would be the far better option anyway. "How about, for now, I just watch the babies after lunch for a bit and we'll see what happens from there?" You suggest.
Nobody else seriously comments on the matter, and it is more or less decided that things are going to go as you suggested.
You all finish up lunch, and the magic of paper plates makes cleanup a breeze as you, March, and Jan all work together to bring the little ones back to the nursery.
"I gotta go potty!" Nove suddenly announces, and starts pulling toward her parents' bathroom.
