Biography

Candace is in an awkward in-between age at the orphanage where she is not quite considered one of the "older kids" who take care of the "younger kids," but she is still too old to be considered a "younger kid" any more.

As a result, she has started to feel the expectations Areis and Jane for her to behave more grown up, and has been trying to fit the ideal of a well behaved older girl. But, at the same time, she also still tries to stubbornly cling to her connection to the younger kids like Hannah who she is closer in age to.

She often participates in Hannah's "touching games," having decided she is going to be one of the "cool" older kids that doesn't get the younger kids into trouble.
