Her jet-black hair has an odd quirk, where if the light hits it just right, it appears purple. She had saw how an older student had bright pink hair and decided to go ahead and dye her own hair purple.
Unbeknownst to her, Leida isn't actually her mother. She gets her looks from her mother.
As Shantae has gotten older, for some reason, her father has become more an more distant. Shantae has also noticed the look some of the grown men give her, it's almost like they're staring at a car that they know they'll never be able to afford.
