It's rather hard to run a daycare business from your house. For one thing, it's a house, it doesn't even look like a daycare to begin with. So, that's one of the simpler forms of free-advertisement out of the question. So, your next best bet is to knock on doors or hang fliers. For the time being, you have decided to post up a message at the local library and a few telephone pols. And, today, at long last you have your first customer.
A mother brings in her child to you. The adorable tyke is a ___-year-old ___. His/Her mother is a little skeptical for a bit to discover that you are a single man who is going to be watching her child, and that there are no other staff here, not to mention there not being any other children. However, after showing her your license and assuring her it's because of the fact that you have only just started your business, evidenced by the recent date on your license, she reluctantly accepts. After all, it IS an official state license.

With the spell seal of an official state license, it is impossible to fake, and a real license like yours speaks volumes to the level of background checks and screenings you have gone through that verify you are up to the standards set by the state board of child-care. There is no reason for her to object.
Moved by this, she introduces her son/daughter. His/her name is...
