Why not? Your friends would never find out about it, and you'd be making your family happy. Opening the fridge, pantry and utensil drawers, you grab whatever pots or ingredients you might need.

What then follows is an intense session of mouth-watering goodness. Crispy fried bacon sizzles on the pan, the juice presser fills up glass after glass of cold apple juice and the smell of freshly toasted bread fills the kitchen entirely. The knife moves in a blur as you chop onions, cut off the crusts of toasts and slice big, luscious oranges into edible slices. Once it's all been put on five separate plates, the breakfast table looks like nothing short of a masterpiece. But just as you turn around to sit and eat, you suddenly notice Missy over by the doorway.

Still wearing her turquoise jammies, the smell must have been what brought her down. Eyes awestruck fixed on the feast you've prepared, her jaw drops in pure shock. You take that as a compliment.

"Did you make all this, Jack?" she asks, amazed.

You nod, and she runs up to hug you before quickly taking a seat, not even wasting time to say 'thank you' as she starts digging in on a scrambled egg toast with tomatoes. You've always loved to cook, but moments like these are priceless; because they let you know that you're also pretty good at what you do.

What do you do?
