Decided to uphold the family tradition of always naming the oldest male child "Joe".

Joe is the owner of the local factory which has been in his family for generations. He got the chance to get away from the town in order to get his business management degree, but promptly returned. Although he has a great deal of power in the town, he has been raised on the town's traditions and has no intention of going against anything decided by the church.

Although he has some semblance of power in the town, Joe's entire life was decided for him and because of this he tends to simply accept everything that happens outside of his work life. Even his wife was decided for him when his parents became concerned about their son in his upper 30s still being unmarried and childless. They arranged his marriage with the first acceptable unmarried girl they could find. In this town, this meant a girl who had only just gotten out of highschool.

Joe never had much of an interest in girls or sex. He is actually asexual, and only went through the motions with his wife in order to father his current children. He leaves all his family's home affairs to his wife and prefers to stay uninvolved as he spends long hours at work.
