Interesting fact. There are actually 3 systems in the body (2 systems per gender) that are cut off from the rest of the body. The inside of the male testicles is one of those 3 systems. There is the most famous blood-brain barrier, the next most famous blood-fetus barrier, and then the practically unknown blood-testicle barrier. So, just like the unborn baby in the mother's womb, the inside of the male's testicles are technically not part of the rest of the body in that they are a closed system. So, getting it in himself really could work. (Plus, it's another safe option and the fact he went after the fairy means he's wanting to play it safe.
