"Well," you say, "this is a highly irregular request. I think I had better clear it with the headmaster before I say anything either way to this."

"Thank you," the woman responds, "I'm quite certain Mr. Granville will understand our situation. I'll come along with you, if it doesn't work out I would like to talk to him."

You cast a somewhat concerned glance over toward your bathroom door, wondering about young Tihana closed up in there and what she might do. "Ok, that's fine," you say, having made your decision as you get up to go out the door. "Ms. Varano," you address your secretary. "Ms. Morandi and I need to talk to the headmaster, could you please watch my office until we get back? Tihana is still in the bathroom getting dressed."

"Sure thing Mr. Gardner," she responds. A few seconds later, you and Ms. Morandi are in front of the headmaster's office. You knock and get a gruff response telling you to come in, and then you lead the way into the room.

"Umm... excuse me, Mr. Granville," you say to him as he looks up from some of the papers on his desk.

"What is it, Gardner?" He asks in a tone that seems somewhat dark and also somewhat tired. After the harsh punishment that he was going to have to administer himself tomorrow in relation to his daughter's indiscretion earlier today, he must be kinda shaken up.

"Well, it's about Tihana Morandi. Her mother is here, and there is a bit of an unusual situation."

"Unusual how?" He asks.

"Well, she's threatening to disown Tihana if we don't alter her punishment. She seems fine with making it a bit harsher on Tihana in exchange for the possibility of incest being taken off the table."

Mr. Granville lets out a heavy sigh. "Great." He mutters. "Well, as long as her request is not too unreasonable, I will leave it in your hands. Your job position is given a lot of leeway in how exactly the punishments are implemented."

"Uhhh... well," you interject. "I'm not exactly certain if this fits even within the leeway I'm given. She wants it to be open for me to bring Tihana home to my house for the night for punishments outside of school hours."

"Sure, that's fine." He responds with such a complete lack of hesitation that it has you temporarily stunned.

"Uhh... what?" You respond.

"Punishments that extend outside of school grounds and school hours are part of the program, it doesn't matter if it's you or the family administering the outside-school punishments. You proved to me today that you know how to do your job. Go right ahead and use your discretion in matters like this."
