Life Hacks/Adjust Your Traits
You decide to adjust your traits next. This list seems to conveniently organize itself in order of the traits you have the highest % scores in already, and topping the list is your nearsightedness at a whopping 65%. Well, time to fix that. You pull the slider down to 0, your vision becoming more and more blurry through your glasses. You quickly take the glasses off as they are already starting to give you a headache. You feel somehow... lighter without them. Liberated would probably be the right word. For as long as you could remember, those things were almost like shackles. You needed them in order to see, and they served as a constant reminder of how sub-par you were, almost like a brand. And now, you were free!
Still running off this high, you decide to look up some other vision related traits. You are ecstatic when you see X-Ray Vision as an option, but when you try to move the slider you get an error message:
Setting not valid with current world settings.
Change the world settings to add to this trait.
Bummer . . . you don't have that module. Maybe sometime later. You take the opportunity to look through some of the other traits. With your visual attribute maxed, and your nearsightedness cured, your vision has now improved beyond 20/20. That is probably good enough, but why stop at good enough just because you can't have super powers? Surely there is some kind of other improvement that can be made. You see that night vision is on the list, and your first thoughts are "yes, give me some of that," as you casually flick that up to maximum.
Now, what else? You see something interesting, infra-vision and ultra-vision? You ponder this for a second, but the answer just seems to appear in your head like some little cartoon mascot waving a helpful sign at you in your subconscious. Duh! It means the ability to see infra-red and ultra-violet light. You decide to try these out as well, and the world looks very different with these aspects added to your vision. Now, everything seems to be kicking off some kind of red or purple glow. It is a little bit distracting, so you decide that you don't really like it. Can't really figure out why you would want or need something like that, that is probably the reason human eyes can't see into those spectrums to start with.
Ok, so, lesson learned. Further adjustments to vision mean you are going to start seeing weird things that are probably just going to throw you off. Probably best to table this for now then. There are a lot of other traits here though. You wonder if you should spend some more time on them, or move to appearance or skills . . .
