Yeah, that doesn't really sound like my thing. As for Life Hacks, I have noticed I have been slowing down on my posts quite a bit, now going full 24 hour periods without posting anything (sure sign the fire has died down.) As usual, my head is still completely full of ideas, but I just can't motivate myself as well as I did before. BTW: What do you think Trish's reaction would be to Young Xander being brought to the park by Charity or Brittany and it being the older sister that is getting beat up on by Hank? Is she anti-violence enough that she wouldn't help her? Or do you think she might do something about it? I still haven't completely settled on whether or not the sisters would even do something to trip Hank's hair-trigger or if they will be more likely to talk him down. I would say Charity would trigger him for sure, but probably wouldn't have the strength or skill to fight him off. As for Brittany, she very well might be able to talk him down. I just had a thought about the character profile chart #2 used in the personality notes sections. I tried writing a quick guide to surrogate consent, but it is a complete mess, and even then it does not do justice to the concept. So, a simpler and easier to understand (but much more tedious to implement) method I thought of would be to fill that 3rd column we mentioned earlier with data on surrogate consent. It would be metrics for 6 levels of sex acts, benign and dismissable being rolled into one (and probably rated with a 0 for all but the most up-tight characters,) the other five being mild, moderate, hard-core, fetish, and rape. Rather than a bar though, I think they should just have a + value (leave - values an option as well as Trish has such a thing going for her.) It would just be helpful to have a spot to put them that is easily referenced. Also, a second text box below the surrogate consent values so the rational for some numbers and some probable responses to the situation can be included. (I will likely delete the entire section on surrogate consent after this option is made available.) Jemini (talk) 06:54, 19 December 2016 (CET)

I might be doing some of those edits, I just realized another edit that has to happen with the Holiday family anyway. It needs to be noted witch ones of them are precociously pubescent due to the effects of the duck (it is all the formerly pre-pubescent girls except Hally, so that should be easy to remember, but it is worth a note for a reminder.) If you don't want to do that one, it's fine. We could just as easily each stick to our own editing subject, but doing both at once seems more efficient. I am about to go to sleep though, and I'm going to work once I wake up. I might get to it after work tomorrow. Jemini (talk) 19:29, 22 December 2016 (CET)

Sure. Not sure if I can get to it today, but I will put it on my "to do" list. Still recovering from the mental exhaustion of dealing with both my family and my girlfriend's family over Christmas. (EDIT: I might be sticking to some more lazy writing in posts that are more in my comfort zone, such as the one I just posted before this. Yes, that level of detail is something I would consider a lazy post. Evaluating someone else's work and figuring out how to weave in my own writing though takes a LOT more mental energy.) Jemini (talk) 18:56, 27 December 2016 (CET)

Oh, don't worry about it. I know exactly how that is. About the only complaint I have about this is that it threatens to drag me off track as well. I just got back into writing my story on the main site, I think people will want to throw things at you if you drag me off in my writer's equivalent of ADD with another shiny new and exciting story. Jemini (talk) 16:10, 6 January 2017 (CET)

It took me a while to get around to it, but I just finished the re-write you requested for Xander going through Loki's corridor. As with the initial introductions at the start of the story, I basically kept all the same details with a little bit of re-ordering (replacing the measurement of the ceiling being 20 feet high with a comment about being able to fit a 2 story house in this space,) and otherwise used a few changes of adjectives and added more descriptive and emotionally impactful detail to a few things. It is a little rough in terms of writing style as I just re-wrote a huge section of the middle of the text, leaving the beginning and the end in your tone and language, so I hope that doesn't throw it off too badly. Since most of it is in concern to the corridor that was supposed to leave you feeling a slight sense of dissonance, this change in tone in the middle of the page might even serve to add to the effect. Thanks. No plans. Just having some fun. :) I tend to just see where my writing takes me. I'm also used to sites like writing dot com where you're forced to share interactive stories (no editing either for free accounts) so I don't mind if someone takes a branch I liked. I can always work in any ideas that come to me through other means.--Villenia (talk) 05:31, 11 January 2017 (CET)

I have ideas for their most immediate contacts (mother, teacher and best friends at the moment). I might need assistance setting up character sheets for them; I'm getting the hang of wiki coding again, but setting up a page like that is still away from memory! My thought with the twins is going down the route of they share everything together, always allowing the possibility for the reader to select to swap the ring to the other twin; thought that should be fun! --Jackmaster (talk) 19:34, 16 January 2017 (CET)

I know I'm not great when it comes to giving feedback, but I do try to when I can, especially as I know it makes so much difference - partly in knowing someone is actually reading it (otherwise I could just be writing it for myself on paper), but always hearing how it can be improved. I will endeavour to input more feedback when I can :) --Jackmaster (talk) 19:34, 16 January 2017 (CET)

There seems to be some kind of weird flaw in the program for the character profiles in Life Hacks. Specifically, in the area of the "condition" stats. They all read 100% on the page regardless of what is really written in the actual data. Jemini (talk) 02:59, 2 February 2017 (CET)

This is the first one I noticed the problem on, there are also several that come after this in the sequence (but not all of them) with the same error. If you look in the source data it will show several different values for the condition stats, but on the page output it shows 100% in all of them. Jemini (talk) 13:09, 2 February 2017 (CET)

  • sigh* I think I may have just royally screwed up my account on the main site. I attempted to change my password, and I wound up not only getting locked out of my account but it also seems that my email got erased from my account as well. In other words, I now have absolutely no way to get back into my account on the main site. Do you think you could please contact one of the admins on my behalf? Jemini (talk) 10:53, 9 February 2017 (CET)

Thanks, hopefully something comes of that. Some more continued communication might be needed though. You up for facilitating that? Jemini (talk) 18:30, 9 February 2017 (CET)

Oh, yeah, he does have that. That would probably work out better. Jemini (talk) 21:19, 9 February 2017 (CET)

Unfortunately, I use multiple yahoo accounts. Neither of the most frequently used 2 accounts seem to be it though, witch doesn't make much sense to me. I suppose I could check them each individually, but I have a sneaking suspicion I have already checked the correct account and the email just wasn't there. Assuming this is the case, there ought to be a number associated with the email. While the words in the email address might give away too much information, if you can simply give me that number then it ought to be enough information for me to act on but it should be meaningless to anyone else. Jemini (talk) 06:47, 10 February 2017 (CET)

Ok, cool. Thanks. I just found it in my spam folder. Jemini (talk) 13:38, 10 February 2017 (CET)

Thanks again for the help earlier with the account situation. Anyway, I have noticed you are not contributing to "Yes" much anymore. Are you going to come back to the "Corra" route of Life Hacks any time soon? Jemini (talk) 19:16, 11 February 2017 (CET)

Yeah, I can see that. I was just speaking toward what would fit in the space of what you were building up toward. Really, you have 3 options here. 1st option is that I can write it for you. As I said before, those types of scenes aren't my best either, but I can probably pull something together. The second option, witch I think is the best option out of the three, is that you can write a crappy sex scene and then I can give some constructive criticism and we can work together on improving it. The third option is the nuclear option. You can simply delete a few of the scenes before this one and then lead up to it in a different way that won't lead to such a slow and tender romantic style sex scene.

Whichever way you go, I think that in order to pull you out of this funk, based on my personal experience, would be for you to write 2 or 3 other scenes first on some other route in any story you have worked on previously and become invested in. And no, I am not trying to push you back into working on Life Hacks with this one. In fact, if you are in a funk, I am not certain I want you working on some of what seem to be shaping up to be the more important scenes for plot purposes. (although it is also quite possible your writing on them will be fine, so if you do find it easy to write for those scenes as you are getting back into it then go ahead.) Oh, also, when I said "any work you have previously worked on," "Yes" was included on that list. (So, based on what I have seen of your personality, that would mean "Yes" or "Life Hacks." And I just realized I'm rambling. Sounds like a good place to stop.)

Jemini (talk) 13:16, 12 February 2017 (CET)

If you're talking about writing something else and avoiding that particular scene for a while, that's actually the option I typically wind up going with. Jemini (talk) 22:49, 12 February 2017 (CET)

I think its a perfectly fine idea. The game-like elements do make things fun to a degree, but this is ultimately a story. This is the reason why I made Xander's personal goals such that they speed up the acquisition of points, so that the points earning is at a rate more appropriate for a story rather than a game, witch the general goals are paced for. In a story, there is always a way to make things interesting even if the MC is all powerful. The fact he doesn't have these abilities from the beginning is all the balance that's needed. This path can fill the niche of wanting a character who can do anything, and other paths can fill the niche of people wanting a slightly less OP method of doing things. Besides, it has already been established that Xander likes to "play it safe," so he should be able to restrain himself just enough to keep things interesting even on the OP path.
