Disciplinary Action/Sonia/Class
She stays inside the classroom reading at recess. Her teacher, Mr. Loso, asked her a bunch of questions about her family.
"So, what is that sister of yours, Gemma, doing these days?" He asked.
Of course, Sonia never lies. So, of course she told him that she works at the local pizza restaurant. "Mommy and Daddy say that's not what she should be doing though." She adds. "They said she's going to (Insert Spanish slang for impregnation similar to English term "knocked up"(assistance from spanish speaking readers welcome)) cauz of the new rules and that will 'straighten her out' though, so I guess it's Ok."
"What does that mean?" He asked her.
"I don't know, I'm just repeating what they said." She answered. She thought it probably had something to do with being punished in some way, but she wasn't sure. Saying what she thought it meant might be lying though, so she wouldn't say that. She had to answer honestly that she just didn't know.
"Well, I can probably guess" Mr. Loso says, and he goes back to grading papers with a smirk. "With any luck, maybe I could participate when that happens. I might have to talk with the director of discipline about this one once I get the chance."
Sonia didn't really understand what he was talking about, but she didn't really think it was anything bad. After all, her parents said Gemma getting (insert term again) was supposed to help her, so it sounded like Mr. Loso was just trying to be nice and make sure it happened sooner.
The day after that...
