Manufactured Misfortune/Day1 Environmental
Addison isn't the best with science in general, so taking the environmental project seems like the most logical course of action.
"Environmental. Then we can have some fun while doing our project."
"Awesome!"
With Addison's enthusiastic agreement you both make your was to Mr. Turner and tell him your choice.
"And would you like the printed summery for that project?" he asked while typing into his computer.
"Yes, please," you and Addi say in unison.
"Very well. They'll all be printed in the library, so head down there after school and pick it up. It will have your names on it so it won't be too hard to find."
You thank him and head back to your seat with Addi in tow. You try to start discussing what to do for the project, but Addison's mouth is running a mile a minute from how excited she is, preventing you from getting a single word in. After trying a few more times you give up. You're still meeting with her after school so there's plenty of time to discuss everything.
The rest of class is mostly a study hall as the other students reported their choices to Mr. Turner, letting most students get caught up on their homework. You focus on your work while Addison talks with a friend all class, and before you know it the bell rings.
As you gather your things Addison turns to you.
"Remember, changing room after school, don't be late!"
"I won't. See you later Addi."
"See you!"
That said you leave the room and head to your next class.
