A Loli's ENF Adventure/Luneiris/Adventuring Day1 (Pee Origin)/Luna Gear
"Okay Luna, first thing first, we need to get you some new gear."
The girl in question looked up at Samuel.
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"Well, we have a number of shops we need to hit, but the order doesn't matter, so I'll let you decided where we go first, okay?"
"Okay!"
The men chuckled at her enthusiasm for what was really a simple shopping trip. After a moment Samuel continued.
"Since you're so eager, I'll skip right too it. We'll need to visit a tailor to get you some proper traveling clothes, an armorer for obvious reasons, a general shop for some basic supplies, and decide on a weapon for you to train with. The only rules are that the armorer has to be after the tailor so we can get you something that fits over your new clothes, and that you can't spend all our money."
He finished with a smirk, to which Luna just childishly stuck her tongue out in response. She looked to the side and thought for a moment, only for a breeze working its way up her cloak and to places unmentionable to make up her mind for her.
"W-We can start with the tailor," she said, trying to keep calm and hold her cloak down.
With that decided the group made their way through the streets, Samuel and Ondir leading the way with Wen and Lunok on either side of Luna, the adults making small talk while Luna focused on keeping her cloak under control. The city was starting to wake up from the party last night, cleaning the streets, removing decorations, and shops opening back up. Before long they arrived at their destination, a popular tailor smack in the middle of the city. Not wanting to clog up the business by pilling in all at once Wen offered to take Luna inside while the others help with cleaning up the street.
The dark elf and healer entered the store and looked around. The main sales floor was taken up by numerous mannequins displaying all manner of clothing, women's near the front of the store and men's near the back. Along both sides of the shop where aisles made up of footwear large and small, this time casual wear like simple shoes to the right and working footwear like boots to the left. Two indistinct changing rooms were in the back corners, and between them along the far wall was the main counter with multicolored spools of thread covering the walls behind it.
While there wasn't any colorful carpet or wallpaper to lighten the room, plenty of natural light filtered in from the large front windows, some of which, along with the front door, were propped open to allow a pleasant breeze waft through the building. Despite all the cleaning being done city wide, there were already several people inside already looking to get some new autumn attire. Wen seemed to be familiar with the place as he walked right on ahead whilst Luna was busy observing everything, leaving her to run after him a seconded later.
Behind the counter was a lovely looking young woman whom Luna guessed to be around thirty or so in human years. As they approached she looked up and smiled at them.
"Wen! I didn't know you guys were back in town! How is everyone?"
"Amelia, it's a pleasure as always! We're all doing fine, thank you. How's Emma?"
"Oh you know her, always running off doing who knows what and coming back with a smile on her face. So, what can I do for you today?"
"Well you see, we have a new member in our party!" He stepped aside revealing Luna, who had been semi-hiding behind him. "This is Luna, she's our new apprentice starting today and we need her properly outfitted."
The woman looked down to Luna, eyeing her up and down. Having let her cloak fall partway open since they entered the shop, Luna was worried that the seamstress would notice what was wrong with her attire, but instead she just did a once over and smiled at her.
"Why hello there Luna, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Um, hello," Luna replied, nervous under her observant gaze.
"Trust me Luna, you couldn't ask for better people to apprentice under than Wen and the others. I'd trust them with my own daughter."
Her soothing words and motherly voice helped Luna relax as the woman stepped around the counter.
"So standard procedure then? A basic set of traveling clothes, and two spare sets, one for cold and snow and one for heat and sweat?"
"That's correct."
"Okay then, if you'll just come with me Luna we'll get started."
The elf looked to Wen, received a nod, and turned to follow Amelia to the changing room in the back left corner. It was very straight forward with walls on three sides, a curtain for a door, and a bench and standing mirror on the inside. Amelia opened the curtain and began talking as Luna entered the room.
"Okay Luna, this might seem a little strange, but here's what I need you to do: once I close the curtain, remove all your clothes down to your boots, put them in that basket under the bench, and slide them under the curtain to me."
At the worried look Luna started to get she quickly jumped to the next part.
"I know, it's embarrassing, but you see, I have a secret. Unlike other tailors who simply take measurements, I just use the clothes you're wearing to find the best match for you. Don't worry, I have a strict don't ask, don't tell policy, so I promise not to judge you for how you dress. Is that good with you?"
Luna was embarrassed, lilac starting to dust her cheeks a little, but gave her nod of approval. After all, this was her job, and there's no way things can go as bad as last night.
Right?
"Excellent! I'll be right out here, okay? Just say my name and slide the basket out when you're done."
With that she stepped back and closed the curtain, leaving Luna alone in the changing room. Pulling out the basket and opening the lid she slipped off her boots and place them inside, followed by her socks, then her borrowed cloak. She removed her tunic's belt, double checking it wouldn't accidentally come undone from being handled by Amelia, and tossed it in the basket. Grabbing the hem of her tunic, she took a deep, slow breath, and quickly pulled it over her head and stuffed it in the basket and closed the lid before she could change her mind.
Now naked in the changing room, she inched the basket closer to the curtain, keenly aware that she was about to lose her only means of cover.
"Amelia?"
"Just slide it on out Luna."
Setting her hand against the side she gave the basket a brief shove, watching it slide under the curtain and out of her view.
"Thank you Luna. You just sit tight, I'll try not to take too long, promise."
Hearing the woman heft the basket and walk away, the full reality of the situation dawned on Luna. Here she was, naked, no cover in sight, and only a single curtain between her and the sales floor of one of the most popular shops in the city. Putting one hand across her chest and another between her legs she slowly backed up to the center of the small room.
Relax, Luna, it's fine. This is necessary for being an adventurer and it'll only last a minute. Just relax.
Even though she was attempting to calm herself, her efforts would be for naught as already her next embarrassing mishap was about to unfold.
What happens next?
