You decide you want to wait in the waiting room. Five hours sounds like a bit of a difficult period to have to wait, but you are worried enough about the weird things so far today that you are not sure you really want to do much else. You want answers, the sooner the better, and you feel it is worth it to bank on the off chance that you might get in sooner by waiting.

“Excuse me, sir!” The receptionist calls out for you when she sees you. “Yes, what is it?” You ask, walking back up to the desk. “Sorry, but, we had some trouble with your insurance.” She says, “I'm not sure what's going on, but you are going to have to get in contact with them and figure out what the deal is. We called them up and it seems like they say you are not in their system.” “What?” You respond, “That doesn't make sense, I have been using this insurance since... well... probably since I was born.” “Your parent's insurance?” She asks rhetorically, to witch you nod. “Well, it is probably some kind of computing error. I would suggest you should call your parents and have them figure it out with your insurance. We will run your bill to the insurance anyway, they will send you a whatever they don't cover.” “All right, thanks.” You respond. “I'm probably going to be sticking around here for a bit,” you tell her, “they want to run me through an MRI and they say the might get me in earlier if I wait here.”

“All right,” she responds, “does the doctor know you are staying?”

“Yes, I told them before I came out.”

“All right then,” she says, “just have a seat and make yourself comfortable.”

Well, that was sure weird. What's the deal with your insurance? There are a lot of strange things going on today, you should probably stop being surprised.
