God's Compensation/Have him give you a full explanation
“It's ok,” you say, “I'm willing to learn if you just take your time and explain it right.”
“All right,” Mr. Austin says, springing off the exam table and walking into the center of the room, “how much would you like to know?”
“Well, it has something to do with how you are going to help me, right?” He tilts his chin up with a slight smile, non-verbally indicating you are correct. “Well then, I guess I had better really understand it then. Tell me as much as you can.”
“Sure,” he responds, “although for the real full version I would have to take you home with me and show you what life is like in 6 dimensions.” The sixth dimension huh? Well, he may not have come out and said it outright, but you kind of figured from the things he had been saying that he was from one of these higher planes he was talking about. “Anyway,” he continues, “for now I will just tell you about how the higher dimensions work relative to the 3 dimensional plane you live on. It shouldn't be impossible for you to grasp, you belong to a rather astute specie. Despite living in 3 dimensions, your science is aware of 5 dimensions and has theorized of dimensions even higher than that.”
What? 5 dimensions? This is the first you are hearing about it.
“Well, it is still relegated to the higher functioning levels of Astronomy, Rocket-science, Quantum physics, and mathematics. It's not very wide spread, but those four areas of study visit the subject regularly on the higher levels.
“How about we start from how your science first discovered the higher dimensions,” he says, finally seeming to get to some real guts of the subject, “The scientist who first discovered the fifth dimension is actually rather well known, he went by the name of Albert Einstein.”
“Huh?” You respond. Einstein discovered higher dimensions? This is the first you are hearing about it.
“How about we start with you telling me how much you know about Einstein's research,” Mr. Austin prompts you.
“Ummm....” you sputter a little, somewhat flustered by being put on the spot. “Well.... he came up with the formula for the speed of light.” you say, “E=MC squared.”
“Yes,” he says, “Einstein came up with the formula for the speed of light. However, when he went on to test it he discovered it was not constant, even in the vacuum of space, and that is what lead to him discovering the higher dimensions.” He says, “you still with me?”
