“Well, this is all very cool and all,” you say, “but I don't really understand what this has to do with helping me in my situation.”

“Well, that's understandable,” Mr. Austin says. “I guess you might think this is all unrelated to you. Actually, it turns out that black sphere changed something about you.” You feel as though a jolt of electricity has run through your spine at his words. It changed something in you? Does he mean to say... “I think you see where this is going huh?” Mr. Austin observes. “Yeah, it more or less made you one of us. You ought to be able to do everything I can do. More actually.”

“More?” You respond, your ears perking up at the concept.

“Yeah, I can get into that one later.” Mr. Austin says. “At any rate, I'm supposed to give you a primer and teach you the basics of how to use these abilities. If you use them right, you might be able to make a good new life for yourself. If you really master them, you could even set things up so you have the option of having a life more or less identical to what you had before.”

Holy crap. So, essentially, that black thing made you a god? Or rather, an extra-dimensional being with abilities one would consider god-like? You don't feel any different, but... whatever. This guy says he will help you get a handle on it, you should probably take him up on his offer.
