God's Compensation/Lore/Aura powers
All deities have the ability to exude an aura that commands respect. This aura can be turned on or off by choice, and those with advanced control can direct it to a small group or even a single person within a group.
Anyone hit with a deity's aura will be naturally disposed to give them respect. If the deity is not engaging with the person exposed to their aura, they will be immediately noticed by everyone who is exposed. If the deity is engaging in any form of conversation or interaction with an individual exposed to this aura, that individual will treat the deity with deference. They will regard all of the deity's words with more weight and will be more hesitant to interrupt demigod level deities and absolutely not interrupt higher level deities when they are speaking and pay greater attention to their words and meaning.
In addition to these basic effects, the aura can also instill additional mental effects in those who are exposed to it. An un-skilled deity will cause the emotions of others to mirror their own, however a deity with a moderate level of skill and control can control what kind of effect their aura will have. The following are some of the additional effects that can be seen.
- Peace aura - Those exposed to this aura will feel comfortable in the presence of the deity and cease to worry about any potential threats outside of the sphere of the deity's presence. If there is an active threat present that the individual(s) exposed are aware of, the effectiveness of this aura depends both on the aura's strength as well as the individual's confidence in the deity's ability to protect them from this threat.
- Love aura - Those exposed to this aura will feel an additional level of attraction toward the deity and will also be more kind in their actions toward one another. This aura's effects could be shaken if the deity performs some kind of harmful action towards the individual, but they will likely not react as negatively as they would to a stranger on the street who did the same thing. In the case of a particularly strong aura, the exposed individual would try to make excuses and rationalizations to justify the deity's behavior.
- Confidence aura - Those exposed to this aura become more sure of their own abilities and might raise their assessment of the deity's abilities as well. This aura's effects can be shaken by their own failure to achieve a task they set out to do, and will be shaken even harder if they witness the deity failing at a task. Weak auras will be broken from only one failure, stronger auras may cause them to excuse the failure as a stroke of bad luck or give them confidence in their or the deity's ability to learn from their mistakes. The stronger the aura, the more repeated failures it can be maintained through.
- Fear aura - Those exposed to this aura will be terrified by the deity and will believe any threat that the deity makes toward them. This aura can be shaken if the affected individual witnesses something doing harm to the deity, and it will be shaken even harder if this harm was accomplished by their own actions. Stronger auras can maintain this fear if the affected individual has confidence in the deity's ability to overcome whatever is trying to harm him, and very strong auras will frighten a person into complete inaction. The strongest fear auras can actually kill or age a person due to the stress of exposure to the aura.
