School Activities
She’s part of the school’s main cheerleading squad, and as always tries to be the best. As soon as the current leader, Liliana Granville, graduates or otherwise abandons the squad, she’s ready to assume leadership, even if she’s not the oldest on the team. As such she’s built good relations with most of the girls on the team, who would consider Perl a friend, even if she’s mainly doing it to ensure she gets the position.
Biography
Perl is an academic excellence student. Always the first of her class, she is the model student that the school presents for local and national competitions. She is a very fast learner and can be easily bored by class since she thinks the teachers tend to repeat things a lot. While she’s excellent at following instructions and memorizing content, she lacks the initiative to learn for herself, limiting her study to what her teachers tell her to do.
For years now she’s been forced to help or outright do Tomas Granville’s homework and other school work, not because the boy had the great idea of using his position to force the bright girl into servitude, but because Perl’s mom forced her to do it in order to gain face in front of the Granville family.
Pearl was in the year before sex education was taught, so she has never really paid the subject much thought. She decided that since she was not taught it in school, it must not be that important. She has also not paid much attention to gossip or girl magazines but has managed to pick up a few tidbits of information about kissing, at least in so much as that it happens.
More recently, as her breasts began to grow sensitive through puberty, she has begun to wonder about that sort of stuff a little more, and her brother talking at home about the things he learned from the class such as the word "penis" to refer to his private parts has intrigued her. She wound up nervously asking him eventually what the girl’s privates were called, and he had told her that his female classmates had said it was called a "vagina." She still does not understand it very well, but her curiosity about sex was ignited even more when she was sent to the disciplinary office for a punishment and wound up finding it exciting.
Perl had not yet masturbated, following the directions that were given by her mother, that a proper lady would not do such a thing. Even when other girls talk about it, she’s curious, but it’s not enough to make her betray the deacon, her teachers and parents. For her, her punishment was the biggest thrill of her sexually repressed life as it allowed her to enjoy that part of who she is free of the guilt that the church and the teachers put down on her.
