Life Hacks/Talk her down and put her in her place
“Charity,” you say, “you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.”
“Oh yes I do!” She says, “we used to take bathes together. You’re my twin brother! I know you better than anyone else on the planet!”
“Obviously not,” you tell her, “tell me, last week, no, this morning, what were your predictions as to when I would smash someone’s head into the dirt?”
“Ah! What? You want to...”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought,” you respond, cutting her off. “you really don’t know jack about me.”
“Hmph...” she responds, “well I...”
“What excuse are you making in your mind now?” You cut her off again, “that I just snapped and it was a fluke or something? You know damn well that doesn’t hold up to the evidence in front of you.”
“What the hell’s gotten into you?” Charity asks.
“Hmm… nothing, just proving a point. The point that I know you well enough to predict your every word. Every single thing you are going to do as your false image of me unravels. I suppose it’s something pretty typical of a big talker. When faced with your own lack of potency you try to desperately grasp at straws to prevent your world from shattering.”
“What!? You think you’re big just because you… you...”
“Stood up to a guy with a gun who was abusing his position of authority in order to harass my sister? All the while keeping the calm state of mind necessary to take charge of the situation and tick off every single box to ensure he receives the full weight of his actions in punishment? Pretty much ruined an ass-hole’s career with a single action? Yeah, I’m pretty sure that earns me a few points.”
After all of this, there is just stunned silence as Charity looks desperately around the room from the face of your older sister to the faces of your two younger siblings all staring wide-eyed at the spectacle. It looks like you have finally managed to break her down.
