Demon Abilities
A demon is a damned soul that has been twisted and corrupted by devils and other demons to become a soldier in the war against goodness. They are generally not as powerful as devils. Demons are usually unique in their powers and abilities. Each demon is the result of a separate incident of torture and experimentation.
- Appearance: Demons have the most varied appearance of any of the supernatural types. They range from exquisitely beautiful to obscenely grotesque, thought they tend more toward the grotesque side of things.
- Abilities: Though each demon has its own abilities, there are some things that they have in common. These are their common abilities, their individual abilities will be determined by the person creating the demon in association with yours truly.
- Dominion: Demons are given certain powers over mankind. These are granted by God in their role as tempters and adversaries to heaven, and are not innate powers. Sammael has all of the demons believing that the powers are from him. Because these powers come from God, those who do don't believe in his existence AT ALL are immune to these effect. It is hard not to believe in the existence of God at least a little bit when in the presence of a demon however.
- Possession: Demons can posses the bodies of mortal beings. This is easiest with those with little to no faith. Faithful worshipers (of anyone except Satan) have a good resistance against possession.
- Imprisonment: Demons are meant to stay in Sheol. They normally only affect the mortal plane though influence and possession. Summoning a demon to the mortal plane can free them to be physically present in the world. If a demon is "slain" or exorcised from the mortal plane they return to Hell, and cannot be summoned or in any way contact the mortal plane for 1001 days.
- Subservience: Demons have been subjugated by the forces of Sheol. Any devil or superior demon can met out punishment to a demon that is being rebellious (or just for the fun of it) simply by speaking to the demon. The punishment is different for each demon, but the most common form of punishment is pain.
