Dragons are occasionally of the habit of polymorphing themselves using their magic in order to take on the form of a humanoid race. Upon doing so, those who have children in their polymorphed form are capable of fully inheriting some draconic genes. A half-dragon will usually have an appearance similar to a dragon-kin of the antro-beast type scale-folk. However, while the appearance may be similar, the growth-rate and level of intelligence due to the slowed growth rate are a great deal apart, and should become evident rather quickly. There is also a fairly good chance that their draconic parent may have helped them to suppress the appearance of their scales via polymorph magic, in which case they will appear to be exactly like a normal member of the race of their non-draconic parent.
A half-dragon has a growth rate that is similar to that of a half-elf, except in cases where their non-draconic parent actually was an elf. In this case, they grow very similar to elves. The culture of the child is usually strongly reflective of that of the non-draconic parent. However, they are likely to have some degree of pride mixed in.
