Disciplinary Action/Disciplinary Office/First Quarter/Interviews/First
The first grade teacher, Carrie Curtis, comes into your office for her interview. Actually, from what you've heard, the first grade and kindergarten classes are combined into one due to a staff short-fall. This means she takes care of the largest number of students, all of whom are at the very young end.
She definitely looks tired upon coming in, but she immediately gives you a big friendly smile when your eyes meet.
"Umm... hello Mr. Gardner." She says nervously.
"Hello Miss Curtis." You greet her. "You look tired, rough day?"
"Oh, how embarrassing." She chuckles and slowly shakes her head. "I'm sorry, dealing with such small children really does take a lot out of me."
"Well, we will try to make this interview quick then." You tell her. "I will start off with the first question. What are your thoughts about the new disciplinary program?"
"The new program? Well... I did not understand much of it, but it tries to get students to behave through shame as a punishment, right? Things like having them wear diapers or be naked? I am not so sure about the second one, but it sounds pretty effective to me. I do not think it would work on the students I take care of quite as well though, they have not really learned much of a sense of shame at their age, I can attest to that through experience."
"I see." You muse. "Well, I am sure I know the answer already, but do you have any interest in participating as a punishment administrator?"
"Well... I have a bit of a work-load, but I don't know. I think I actually might be good at it, especially for changing the diapers and watching students use the restroom. Oh! Actually, several of the punishments involve acting like a baby, right? Perhaps for a day they can come to the kindergarten class room while they are being punished like this. If they have their homework sent, they can do it in my class. I could probably put them to work helping me with some of the kids while they're at it."
"That is... a rather interesting idea." You respond. "I think it would be most appropriate for high-school age kids, I will keep that in mind. So, I suppose I can put you down as an assisting punishment administrator in that capacity?"
"Well... please do not utilize my services too much, but if you have a student who seems like they might be effective in the role then I would love to have them."
"Well then, I have to ask just a few more questions. You have talked a lot about the lower ends of the punishments, what do you think of the more severe punishments?"
"Well, that's the part I didn't understand so much, especially why it always talked about going to church and something about that being involved in risking getting pregnant, but I suppose it's probably a good thing."
"Wait, what is that about going to church? Where did you read that?"
"The whole part about insemination, right? That means to go to the church and get a sermon, doesn't it?"
You really don't even know how to respond to that. Well, if the sex education is poor at the K-12 level, then it's probably inevitable that there should be adults who don't know much about sex either in this town. That innocent naivete somehow strikes a chord with you. She's a little old, but dressed in her clothing designed to appeal to the younger kids and her kind demeanor combined with that astounding ignorance to sex actually has you getting a little hard for her.
"I see. Miss Curtis, do you actually KNOW how it is that women get pregnant?"
"Well, you see... that is... my parents died before I was at the age where I could try to get married, and I have been working at the school ever since I graduated, so... no." She rounds her shoulders and looks embarrassed over what she just told you. It just looks so cute! "Does this disqualify me sir? I thought it was men who were supposed to get women pregnant, but I think I can learn how if that is required for the job!" That comment nearly floored you.
"No, you will not be getting any girls pregnant." You tell her. "That is really not possible. Well, this is not really part of the interview, but do you want to get married and have children of your own?"
"Well, I'm not sure. This whole family has its hands full with taking care of our students at school, but if I had a husband and did not have to work at the school all the time I think it might be wonderful to have my own children!"
"I see. Well, I will not consider you for any severe punishments then, but I will keep you in mind for low and middle grade punishments, especially for the girls who may face an impregnation punishment to experience child-care before their punishments rise to that level."
"Uhh... Ok, yeah! I would certainly appreciate the help in my class Mr. Gardner."
"Well, it was nice meeting and talking with you." You shake her hand and exchange a few more words before she leaves your office. That was crazy though. Just how many more adult women in town actually don't know how babies are made? Well, probably few, they do have husbands and children of their own. Their understanding of sex is likely rather sparse though. That's just the way this town is.
Well then...
You should probably do something about the Curtis sisters' sexual ignorance once the interviews are done.
