"It's Ok Diya." Her "mom," Janne, the biological mother, strokes the girl's shoulder reassuringly. "Mr. Gardner has to follow the rules as well. Besides." She gets a slightly conspiratorial look in her eye. "I'm sure you can find a way to make it so Mr. Gardner has to punish you sooner if you really want to.
