You decide the best way to go about this would be to call both Sonia's sister and also the Freshman teacher in together. They are brother and sister in-law, so they ought to be familiar enough with each other that they should not create any issues being in here together. So, it only makes things faster if the adult sister is in here to hear what you and the Freshman teacher, Mr. Williamson, have to say.

You are surprised when the woman who walks in is a police officer in full uniform. She has a serious glint in her eye and seems a little agitated. Suddenly, you are less confident about how this is going to go. Mr. Williamson follows her in, rubbing the back of his head in a nervous way as he glances toward his sister-in-law and then closes the door before taking the seat next to her.

María, Sonia's older sister, sighs heavily and then grips the sides of the chair as though she's nervous about something. Well, whatever that's about, with the two of them in your office now you guess it's your time to kick things off. "So, Miss Gurrera, Mr. Williamson, thank you both for coming. I've called you both in here because Sonia was sent to my office today, and she told me about a rather shocking and large violation that has been going on since last year."

"Shit!" Maria bites under her breath and looks away, glancing toward the corner of the desk. "Mr. Gardner, I can explain!" She cut in desperately. "It's not her fault, it's all because of that bastard Mr. Loso! We didn't really have another choice!"

"What!?" You respond, a little confused. "I'm not really sure what Mr. Loso has to do with this, he WAS the one who sent Sonia to my office for throwing a temper tantrum in class. However, this particular infraction has going on while she was still in fifth grade." Could she be talking about something else you don't know about?

"I knew it!" Maria says under her breath as a curse. "Wait... uhh..." She looks up at you now. Yeah, she's definitely hiding something. You can just see the wheels in her head turning. "Wait, was he pressuring her in class?" She says quickly. It would seem like the almost natural next thing to say if it weren't for the visible look on her face as her mind was changing gears from whatever she was on about before to this subject. "He must have been! Sonia does rather well if she's given enough time on her tests and school work. She has an IEP that says she needs to be given time, if he pressured her then he's in violation of her IEP!"

Well, this is an interesting direction things turned...
