Family Ties/Ask where Jacob and Jessie are.
"Where are Jessie and Jacob?" You ask, concerned with how your dad has been acting, if your mother and Heather are with you, who is protecting them. From your seat on the floor of the back seat, wedged between the back of the drivers seat and the mid bench seat you can see Heather look over at your mom with a worried look on her face. "Mom, where is my sister and Jacob?" you ask, this time your voice slightly raised.
"They're gone baby.., they took off" You are about to press for more details when your mother, anticipating your concerns, offers them up. "About a month after dad sent you away, Jessie and Jacob got caught naked in your brother's bed." There is a brief pause, "I guess Jessie had had a night mare or something and climbed into his bed the night before and things got a little heated. I am not sure how far things went between the two of them but your dad was obviously furious. He threatened to have Jacob sent away like he did you. So a few days after Heather wrote you the letter we woke up to find Jacob and Jessie gone."
You can't believe you are hearing this. Jessie and you had screwed around befoe but nothing to indicate that she was interested in Jacob in that manner was ever said. Suprising considering the Jessie told you everything. Heather turned back towards you, a folded up peice of paper in her hand. "Jacob left us this note." Your sister said plainly as she handed you the note.
You quickly unfolded the note to read it:
Dear mom,
Please don't worry about me and Jessie. We hate it here and want to be together like you Heather and Tim. I know you and Heather are planning on taking off to free him and I hope you are able to. Jessie and I are heading north and will enter the system as brother and sister so we can be placed in a foster family together. Once we are settled I will track you guys down, but we are never coming back here.
We love you and will miss you. But hopefully we will see each other again soon.

You fold the not back up and hand it back to Heather. "Have you heard anything from them since?" You ask quietly
"Nothing so far," Your mother answers you. "But I am sure they are ok..., I can feel it."
