“Well, since you seem to have all the answers on this subject, are you here to do something to fix this mess?” You scoff at him.

“As a matter of fact,” he responds, “yes, that is exactly what I am here to do.”

Well.... that has you a little less pissed off. You do, however, have a bit of a rising feeling of unease about the whole thing. You can't quite put your finger on it, but something really seems off about everything in this situation.

“Actually,” Mr. Austin continues on to say, “it is kind of my job to handle cases like yours. You might think of me as something of a paranormal social worker.” Huh, well that is a rather auspicious job. Somehow, you feel as though you have been warped into some fantasy TV show. “As for your specific situation,” he continues, “some of my colleges have been trying from the moment we became aware of what happened to you to correct this situation without us even having to make contact like this. We have been trying to restore you to the time-line somehow, but it seems like the world has already reformed itself without you in it. Seems as though it is easier to remove something from the time-line than to insert it back in.”

“Soooo.....” you muse, suddenly having your fears confirmed.

“Don't worry,” Mr. Austin assures you, “we are not giving up on you. It is starting to look like the option of restoring you to the time-line is a dead end, but we did notice something else while trying to work things out. It seems like your exposure to that anomaly altered more than just your existence on the time-line. It also woke up your access to the higher planes.”

“Excuse me?” You respond. You were sort of able to follow him while he was talking about time-line stuff, but higher planes? The fuck is he on about?

“Sorry, I guess that one went a little over your head. The higher planes, you can think of them as a parallel universe, one that functions in more dimensions than the three that are easily accessed and manipulatable by the denizens of this one.”

“Ok, you lost me on the parallel world and dimensional stuff there as well.” You interrupt him.

Mr. Austin breaths out a sigh, “Yeah, kind of figures you would get lost on that one,” he says. “It is really not something that is easy for someone who has lived all his life on a lower plain to grasp.”
