You shrug and nod at Larissa's suggestion. The last thing you want to be is rude.

Excusing yourself from the table you head upstairs looking to make things right. You size up the door to the master bedroom pretty quickly and are encouraged by the fact that it's half open.

"You in here Carrie?" you ask, knocking as you enter.

"Riley!"

As your eyes focus on Ms. Callahan laying on the bed, you see her legs shoot off to one side and her back turn to you. A drawer on her nightstand is quickly opened and slammed shut before she abruptly stands. Turning towards you with a flushed face, she sputters, "I wasn't... expecting you here!"

You're not sure what you interrupted but you try not to let your mind linger on the possibilities.

"Sorry, the door was..." you trail off, not sure if you have a good enough excuse for barging in as you did.

"My fault entirely," replies Carrie, tucking her hair behind her ear in a flustered fashion. "We've developed plenty of bad habits since it's just us girls here!"

Meandering towards the bed, you continue. "Yeah, well Larissa said I should come up here... to apologize. I didn't mean to rub you the wrong way."

"Mmm, please..." mutters Carrie. You're certain you weren't supposed to hear that. "Well thank you Ry," she adds. "And thank her for me if I forget to."

You nod curiously and glance around the room as Carrie rounds the bed toward you. There are a few clothes scattered here and there but it's a pretty tidy bedroom otherwise. One thing that jumps out at you is the lack of evidence of anyone sharing her bed. It seems there isn't a boyfriend to speak of at the moment. You're not sure if that makes you feel better about barging in on her.

"I can go if you want," you offer.

"You're not going anywhere just yet," Carrie orders, stopping directly in front of you. One strap of her nightie has slipped off her shoulder but she doesn't seem to care. "I thanked you for apologizing but I didn't say you were forgiven. You have to earn forgiveness in my house. And you are in my house."

You swallow hard. You're taller than her, but Carrie is quite intimidating when she wants to be.

"And... wha-"

"Just keep me company while I get ready!" She shoves you playfully and flashes a smile.

You were worried for a second. This should be easy enough.

"I'd love to!" you reply, perhaps too eagerly.

Carrie looks you up and down briefly and shakes her head as if she's in the middle of a discussion. When her discussion is over she grabs the front of your shirt and pulls you closer to her. Not only that, but she plants her hands on your abs and slowly rotates around you. You're a little shocked by how forward she's getting. Until she shoves you even harder than before toward the end of her bed.

"Take a seat, Riley. I'll just be over here." She turns and moves towards a small walk-in closet. It has a door, but much like her bedroom she apparently doesn't feel the need to close it after entering. All the same, you can't see her after she steps inside.

"Your sister, Bree. How come she and Rissa don't play together anymore?"

"I think they do," you respond, clueless. "At least, sometimes. I think."

Carrie pokes her head out of the closet to toss her negligee at a hamper positioned along one wall. She misses, then smiles and raises an eyebrow at you while leaning against the door frame. "They should see more of each other. In fact, we should all see more of each other... don't you agree?"

You quickly nod, your eyes stuck on Carrie's bare arm and shoulder as she grips the doorway.
