Hotel ee/The tribute
It was late evening moving into night. After a day on the road, you are exhausted from trying to keep these two bored children from killing one another. Technically, you could likely get to the next city in the space of the night, but you would much rather let these kids out to run around to let off some of their energy already before they make you want to do something that will make them really not like you.
They are not your children, of course. Your car and the entertainment you have available were in no way set up with kids in mind. They belong to a friend of yours. She came to you practically begging to help drive her kids home from visiting their grandmother's, where they had been staying for the summer. They were supposed to be driven home by a different friend of hers', but it seemed this friend had to cancel at the last minute. She immediately thought of you since you lived in the area.
Jake practically leapt from the back seat once you'd parked the car in the parking lot in the fading light of evening. The energetic nine year old was dressed in mesh sports shorts and a mesh muscle shirt that clung to his young and muscular body, showing off his athletic build toned from two years of swim classes.
"Awesome! They have a pool!" The boy cheered as he spotted the hotel swimming pool as he bounced around the parking lot.
Yes, this was one of the reasons you had picked this hotel. Maybe a little swimming before bed will help the kids tire themselves out before bed.
Amy gets out of the front passenger side at around the same time you are also getting out. She is dressed in a tight tank-top that shows off her just developing breasts, and a pair of very short and tight shorts that cover her less than a pair of boxer shorts. At age twelve, you wonder if she is aware of just how much the way she is dressed shows off her developing sexy body, or if she is still too innocent and possibly thinks of this as just being dressed for the hot weather. At the same time, you find it hard to believe that her parents actually let a kid her age dress in a way that makes her practically look like a prostitute.
"Alright. I'll go get us checked in. You two can get out your bags for the night so you have your pajamas, swim-suits, and change of clothes for tomorrow." You tell them.
Check in goes quickly. You manage to get a ground-level floor right outside from the pool, which seems to make both the kids very happy.
You put the kids suit-cases and your over-night bag off in a corner of the room. It is a small room with 2 double beds, making the prospect of how to handle the sleeping arrangements for the three of you quite difficult. There is also a 2 seater sofa that looks like it would be rather uncomfortable to sleep on, but it is definitely an option.
You wonder about what you're going to do for sleeping arrangements. You know how you would like to set up the sleeping arrangements, but you have your doubts as to whether or not the kids will go for it.
You've already had dinner earlier in the afternoon. While there is still a little bit of sun left, you could also just as well choose to tuck in to bed early.
Early to bed with some safe sleeping arrangements
- Amy gets one bed, Jake gets the other bed, you'll sleep on the couch
- The boys get one bed and the "girls" get the other
- Have Jake take the couch because he's the smallest. You and Amy will each take a bed
Early to bed with some risky sleeping arrangements
- All three of you will sleep in the same bed
- Try to find a way to get you and Amy sharing a bed for the night
There are a few more hours in the night. Have some fun before bed.
