You had probably better deal with Roni, you decide. She seems a little shaken up by the whole thing. “Are you alright?” You ask her.
“Huh? Yeah.” She responds with a forced smile.
“Here, come sit down,” you tell her, taking a seat on a nearby bench.
“I’m fine!” Roni states, taking the offered seat anyway.
“Really?” You ask, “You seemed a little clingy earlier. Were you afraid they might arrest me or something?” Roni seems to have no response to your question, telling you that you are right, as though the protective way she clung on to you and glared at officer Thompsett was not enough of an indicator. If that wasn’t enough, then the fact that she explicitly asked about it leaves fairly little doubt. She really was worried, and her strong face is a fairly thin vale to that concern. You find it kind of touching she was so concerned over you, but right now you just want to help your sister get her head back in the right place.
“I’m right, aren’t I?” You push her.
“Yeah,” she groans, looking away from you.
“Well, sorry for scaring you then Roni, but I was alright. What that police officer was doing was actually against the law, witch is why the other officers who came took him away and just wanted me to give a statement.”
“Yeah,” she says. She looks down for a second, but then she looks up at you. “Umm… Xander?”
“Yeah?” You respond.
“Why did you have to write down what happened for her?”
“Oh,” you say, “That’s my written statement. They use that for when they are figuring out whether or not something should go to court, they read the statements that everyone writes down to figure out whether or not they can put a person in jail.”
“Oh,” she responds. “Is that bad police officer going to go to jail?” There is just something about the way she asked that question. You are not sure whether it is the way she phrased it or the way she said it, but it is just adorable.
“Um.. I don’t know,” you respond. “They are going to have to decide what to do. He will probably just get suspended or fired.”
“Ok,” Roni responds, sounding a lot more up-beat now. “You know what Xander?”
“Huh?” You respond.
“You’re pretty cool!” With this, she practically jumps into your lap, facing you while straddling your right leg. “You got a police man sent to jail because he said I couldn’t play baseball!”
Didn’t you just say….? Whatever. Too much effort to explain the ins and outs of the professional world to a kid. However, having a young girl like this, especially your sister, this close to you brings another problem to your attention. That being how raging horny you are. Due to your enhanced memory to access things you have previously learned, you recall that adrenalin is also part of sexual arousal.
