Life Hacks/Yng-Lexi/Run out the front door
You run down the stairs and throw open the shoe closet. You quickly grab a pair of your flip-flops (sandals) and, before even putting them on, go for the front door.
"Lexi! Stop!" Charity calls after you, but you are already out the door and running barefoot down the drive way. You turn a corner onto the sidewalk and begin quickly putting distance between yourself and your house while still carrying the sandals in your hand.
"Leeexiiii!" You hear Charity's distant voice calling after you, but you are already out of sight and your bare feet are running while hardly making a sound despite carrying you at over 20 miles per hour. You are just rounding a corner down the block. You know there's going to be no way for her to catch up.
You slow down to a walk now that you've built some distance and drop your sandals. You slip them on and continue walking as you try to think about what just happened. Why is it happening like this? Didn't you make yourself smarter with that duck and stuff? You thought maybe you would be able to act less like a kid and more like an adult if you made yourself smarter. Maybe it was because of those puberty hormones or something. Angel just started her period after all, and she's your twin sister, so maybe you are about to get yours as well.
Wait! You snap yourself out of those thoughts. Act less like a kid!? Angel is your twin!? Something seemed a little off about this, but... no, you just remembered! You used the duck to make yourself younger! Somehow, something inside you made you think you were always this age. Wait... maybe it's because your memories were altered when you changed yourself!? But you still had vague memories of before you changed yourself. Wait, were you always a girl? You could have sworn you were a boy before, but you're also twins with Charity so that doesn't really make sense. But then, why are you in the same room as Bastian if you were always a girl?
This whole altering yourself thing suddenly got a little bit scary. Right now, you feel totally like you've always been a kid and any memories you have of being older seem more like they were just your imagination. About the only thing allowing you to realize they were real is knowing about the duck and the life hack. You pat the bulge in your coat pocket where you stuffed the thing. It's still there, so you could easily reverse all this right now.
