Life Hacks/Young/Excuse yourself and Billy from this game and have a talk with him somewhere else in the park
"Well, if you are so against playing with a girl, how about you and me ditch this game and I'll go hang out with you." You say.
"Wait, you're not playing Xander?" Roni asks.
"Yeah, it would be more fair if I just sat out anyway," you tell her.
"Yeah, that's true..." One of the other kids say.
"Nnn... NO! I... I gotta play this game!" Billy says.
You almost instinctively snap that, if that's the case, then he'll have to be playing with Roni, but there's something really strange about how he said that just now.
The instincts of some skill you must have unknowingly maxed out are screaming at you right now, and you can sense there is a much deeper issue at play here.
"Why is it so important for you to play this game?" You ask in a very serious tone, but using a strong enough voice that the adults sitting in the stands can clearly hear you. "Is somebody forcing you to?" You ask.
"Mmm... my dad, he said..." He stammers.
His dad, huh?
"Will your dad do something if you don't join this game?" You ask him. "Will he hit you or something?"
"He... he..."
"Your dad hits you?" The other kids catch onto what's going on here and things take a pretty sudden shift.
"I..." Billy starts shaking and you can see some tears starting to run down his cheeks.
"I'm calling CPS." Your augmented hearing catches one of the women in the stands talking in a low voice.
Well, it seems like things are going to be heading toward some kind of resolution on their own from this point. All you have to do now is find some way to keep Billy engaged and satisfy the other kids here in a way that, at bare minimum, will not make things worse.
"Say, how about the two of us just play a game together. That way you can tell your dad you did play baseball and everything will be Ok? You can even tell him you made a pretty tough friend." You tell him as you reach out an arm to his shoulder.
"No!" He says as he brushes your arm off. "I just said, I don't play with girls!" He says.
"What? Xander's a boy." One of the boys in the crowd says.
"Yeah, he's a boy." Roni agrees.
"Huh? But you look like..." Billy looks really confused as he looks at you.
You just give him a confident smirk. "What, is it the long hair?" You say as you toss your medium-length (long for a boy) hair with a hand. "Yeah, I like it that way. So what?"
"It makes you look like a girl!" Billy accuses.
"Like I said, so what? As you can see, there's nobody here who doubts my ability at absolutely anything. When you're this good, you can go right ahead and be as stylish as you like and nobody messes with you." You say.
"He's bragging!" One of the kids accuses.
"Well, he IS really good." Another kid says.
"Ah, it's alright. That Billy kid needs to understand." Someone else backs you up.
"Hey, Xander! Why don't you just go home with Billy and beat up his dad from him!" Someone taunts.
"Nah, you know I don't do stuff like that." You brush him off.
"So, anyway, it's no problem. Your dad doesn't have to know, and it should settle all your issues, right?" You say.
"N... no!" Billy objects again. "He'll know, he's here in the park," he says.
"Is he up there in the stands?" You ask, looking up where all the adults are, but you already kinda doubt it. If 'his' dad was up there, he would probably have come down to the field already to say something.
Of course, Billy shakes his head. "He's in his car in the parking lot," he says.
"Hey, boys? How about we go talk off the field for a bit?" An older greying matronly-looking woman kneels down beside the two of you, looking rather concerned. "I'd like to talk about what you were saying about your father," she says, this time looking directly at Billy.
It takes you a moment, but suddenly you remember this woman is actually the principal at the elementary school you go to. She's still working there, huh? She looks a lot older now than you remember... wait, those two thoughts didn't quite add up together. You go to the school now, right?
Wait... that's right! You reversed your age with that hack Loki gave you! That was weird! It felt for certain like you'd never been any older than 10 years old, despite having the knowledge you gained as a teen, including things kids this young really shouldn't know that much about.
This is going to be weird. You have two sets of competing memories in your head here, and the false memories implanted by the hack are slightly stronger. The fact you even remember the fact you used to be a teen is probably due to the fact Loki made you a player as well. Otherwise, you'd just naturally think you'd only been alive in this world for 10 years, despite having 15 years worth of memories.
Well, anyway, it looks like you didn't have to wait for authorities to get here after all. Someone from the school was in the stands. She'll have the authority to handle whatever's going on here.
