As you go back to your mother, you discover that the water had formed a sticky residue all over you. You spit out the rancid taste of the stale water. Alex had his usual silly grin on. He was staring at your shivering body again. What a perv., you roll your eyes and sit quietly in the car.

The Ninja blender wirrs loudly as it slash, chops, and blends your shake. With one straight gulp, you swallow it all. Practice makes perfect, you think.
