Life of a 13 year old- Run even farther, maybe you can catch up
After almost 2 hours of frantically running around, you give up all hope. It seems that your family has abandoned you in the small village. However just as you begin to turn back, you see a family of 3 people walking in the desert. That must be your family!
You hastily make your way up a sand dune and slide down the slope.
"MOM! DAD! RACHEL!". They make no response to your shouts. In fact, it seemed that they were getting farther away from you!
The image seems to fade and distort as you get closer. Just as you think you are able catch up to them, they shimmer and disappear. In seems that it was just a mirage! Unfortunately, all the running has made you incredibly thirsty. Things begin to float around you, the sand looks like a crashing beach. If you don't act fast, you might just die of dehydration.
There seems to be an oasis near by, but it could just be a refraction again.
