To be honest, you resent the new babies. You were only five when the first twins were born, so they were a bit of a novelty. When Mom had another set, three years later, she said that five kids were more than enough. but then she got pregnant with twins again which means that you were expected to change diapers and help shovel food into greedy mouths, as well as being kept awake by crying babies.
The twins are in the room next to Mom and they share a cot. With their diapers on, it's hard to tell, but you think it's Lilly who's nearest, snoring away in her crib on her tummy with her pacifier hanging out of her mouth. it looks like her diaper has become undone in the middle in the night.
