The Galaxy is secure. The Separatists are defeated. The Clone Wars are over. The people are safe. Long life the Galactic Empire! Long live the Emperor Palpatine!
With the defeat of the seperatists, and the purge of the jedi, the Clone Wars has finally come to an end. The Galaxtic Republic, now reformed into the Galactic Empire began to exert its authority over a war weary galaxy.
Apart from a some isolated conflicts and a few rebellious planets which attempted to fight against the new Empire's reign, its is a period of relative peace. However the Empire's attempts to gain control sow the seeds of future conflicts.
One such action is the Empire’s many speciesist and humanocenterist policies, at the expense of the rest of the Galaxy. The Empire is the epitome of Human High Culture, with the many species of it being labeled off as “Non-huMan.” The Rights of Sentience, one of the most well-known anti-speciest clauses of the Galactic Constitution, as well as other important anti-slavery laws that were ratified during the reign of the Galactic Republic, have been removed from the Imperial Charter and the persecution of non-human species is abundant, even encouraged. As opposed to the Republic, slavery is abound within the Empire, and is the common punishment for those who criticize it. This is true of many non-human species, and the number only continues to grow.
