Talk:Incubus/Abilities/Increase ejaculation
Are we talking metric cups (250ml per cup), or Imperial (USA) cups (240ml)?
While the differences are miniscule, they can affect things drastically the larger the quantities.
The ejaculate sizes are as follows:
- Imperial / Metric
- 30 / 31.25ml
- 60 / 62.5ml
- 120 / 125ml
- 240 / 250ml
Not included, but "1 gallon"
- 3785.41 / 4731.76ml
I bring this up, because if this is some ancient system, it should have some "standards"
For other examples, "1 Billion"
US: 1,000,000,000 (called a "milliard" in other languages, or "one thousand, millions)
UK: 1,000,000,000,000 (Known as the "British billion")
US inch: 25.4000508 mm UK inch: 25.399977 mm
I know that these differences are very miniscule, but I also know that you like to go into detail on the world building. --MrPib (talk) 00:14, 4 December 2022 (CET)
I'm basing this off the imperial (US) system because most of the sources I found on the size of an average ejaculation were based on that system, citing a tablespoon as the high-end of the scale for the average ejaculation size. Actually, I was not aware there was such a thing as a metric cup. My only exposure to metrics does all fluid measurements in milliliters.
That said, using an imperial system of measurement also makes more sense from a lore perspective if we're basing it on the ancient system idea, beings imperial was the system world wide while metric is a relatively recent invention. That said, up until recently, there was also no actual standards for the imperial system, with the closest things to standards being things like using the size of the King's foot to standardize how large a "foot" is. (If you ever wondered why they name imperial distance measurements the way they do, now you know. They are named after actual body parts.) The imperial system also had measurements that have been since retired, such as a span, which is a measurement based on the distance between a person's thumb and pinky if the fingers are stretched out as far as they will go.
