I explained that indeed the school is quite small, and getting smaller. That's why they had to mix kindergarten and first grade, as well as high school juniors and seniors. It occurs to me that if a town of this sort has a brothel, and the way the prostitutes wind up working at the brothel is getting pregnant before they are married, there has GOT to be at least a few children in the school who are the children of prostitutes.
