Talk:Non-English Stories

From All The Fallen Stories
Jump to navigation Jump to search

I ask that you please the country where your story takes place, so that if anyone tries to edit what they perceive as a spelling issue, they would have to think twice because the word might be different where/when the story occurs

EXAMPLES

ENGLISH Boot/trunk of the car/automobile

SPANISH Cerdo/Chancho/Puerco, different countries call a pig different things

GERMAN Different countries have different dialects, as well as different regions (like Bavaria). Another stark contrasting example is Pennsylvania Dutch (Amish German)

You will also need to specify if it's in old German as well (if you udo this, mentioning the country isn't necessary. Just use the "History" story code):

Swaz hie gat umbe, daz sint allez megede, die wellent an man, alle disen sumer gan.

Translated to modern German:

diese die hier herumtanzen sind alles Mägde, die wollen ohne Mann den ganzen Sommer sein.
