Your Mother’s Wand
The wand that once belonged to Sofia Lestrange is an ornate family heirloom. Made of Ebony and Unicorn Horn, with embossed silver snakes slithering around the shaft. As it was your mother’s wand, sometimes when you look at it you are momentarily sad that you have no memories of her. She died during the war, and you were raised by your nanny.
Later, after visiting Ollivander the wand maker, you learned that it was made by the Goblin wand maker Malgrod, in Paris, at least one hundred and fifty years ago. You also learn that the black leather cord is reinforced with goblin-wrought silver, and that it is a duelling cord. Intoning the word Cingulo will cause it to fasten itself to your wrist, and incanting Solvo will release it. This protects you from losing your wand to an enemy using Expelliarmus or the Accio charm.
