You got far away from the village and you encountered no more enemies on your way.

"So, about your powers", Leon started.

"Yes, ask Hanna anything."

"You sure surprised me with them, but you said you can use alchemy and assist others only."

"Ah, yes. Hanna is an alchemist and practitioner of divine calligraphy."

"That's a strange combination of professions for anyone. May I ask you why you only know supporting professions?"

"Well you see… Hanna isn't exactly the most powerful girl alive, because she's small… Hanna isn't naturally talented when it comes to fighting either, or athletic, and doesn't even have mana to boast…"

"So, even a princess can draw a bad lot, huh?"

"Yeah… Hanna is so weak she's kind of useless… Even if Hanna picked up a sword or a staff, she would be terrible at using it. But Hanna has some unique abilities which work well with those two professions. They're like tailormade for her! It's all about taking advantage of your abilities and recognizing your strengths and weaknesses!"

"Well, you're a little rough on yourself, calling yourself useless, because to me it sounds like you could actually prove to be very useful in a party."

Hearing that makes you happy. "Too bad Hanna can't become an adventurer, because she's a slave."

"Well if you become a slave of an adventurer, it shouldn't be a problem. You could just tag around with your master."

"That's actually a great idea! How about Hanna becomes your slave then?"

"I do not want Chad to kill me, so no."

You laugh again. "You sure worry too much."

Leon, who is walking beside you, suddenly stops on his tracks, also using his hand to signal for you to stop. There is something up ahead. It looks like a camp, and there are black banners with red, grotesque prints set up. It is the sign of Chaos. "They're here as well…"

"There's so many of them…?" you whisper. "They must really want to get Hanna…"

"Yeah, road may not be so safe after all… Luckily, I have a plan B. I just don’t want to actually take it because it has it's dangers as well."

"Well, dangerous is always better than sure defeat."

"You got that one right. We have to enter the forest and use it as a shortcut." You nod, very slowly. You had suspected this was the plan B from the moment Leon said it's something he doesn't want to do. "I will lead the way. No matter what, do not wander off. Stay close to me at all times."

"Yes, Hanna understands…"

"I'll also be relying on you. Don't be afraid to assist me with any spells you see fit."
