Okay, you seem to have misunderstood the reason to add categories to your pages.  It is not to show what kind of content is on a particular page; it is to show what story the page belongs to.  It groups all your pages together, allows the system to know how many pages are in your story, and creates an index of those pages.  The category on any page should be the word Category, followed by a colon followed by the name of the story.  For your story it would look ONLY like this: <code><nowiki>[[Category:Day and Night]]</nowiki></code>.  Additionally, I noticed that you are using numbered options for the links.  I imagine that you misunderstood how to make links as this is kind of a pain in the butt way to do things.  You can use almost any text for the links. For instance on your main page, instead of having:
* <nowiki>[[Day_and_Night/Choice 1|'Dad']]</nowiki>
you could simply have:
* <nowiki>[[Day_and_Night/Dad|'Dad']]</nowiki>
numbering the choices in my demonstration may have been a bad idea if it has lead you to believe this is necessary.
A good idea might be to look at how other people have formatted their stories by clicking the '''Edit''' tab on their pages; that way you can see how pages are formatted.  Please keep at it; you're almost there.  --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 15:35, 20 June 2019 (CEST)

It's always good to see new writers. There are a couple of problems with your story Day and Night however. The first issue is that you placed the link to the story on your user page. This should be added in alphabetical order in the correct story section; either Loli Stories For Straight or lesbian stories, Shota Stories For gay stories, Furry Stories For furry stories of all kinds, or Meta Stories For stories that don't fit well in only one of those classification. Edit the right section of the page, and add the entry for your story. Secondly, all the pages of your story need to have a category. I usually fix that for a first time author so they see how it's done, but there are so many pages that would be problematic for me. Simply add the text [[Category:Day and Night]] to every page in the story (and any future pages) and you're good to go. Review the Format Rules if you need to. Once again welcome to the site. If you have any questions feel free to ask them on my talk page. --Elerneron (talk) 14:52, 19 June 2019 (CEST)

For your story it would look ONLY like this: [[Category:Day and Night]]. Additionally, I noticed that you are using numbered options for the links. I imagine that you misunderstood how to make links as this is kind of a pain in the butt way to do things. You can use almost any text for the links. For instance on your main page, instead of having:

  • [[Day_and_Night/Choice 1|'Dad']]

you could simply have:

  • [[Day_and_Night/Dad|'Dad']]

numbering the choices in my demonstration may have been a bad idea if it has lead you to believe this is necessary.

A good idea might be to look at how other people have formatted their stories by clicking the Edit tab on their pages; that way you can see how pages are formatted. Please keep at it; you're almost there. --Elerneron (talk) 15:35, 20 June 2019 (CEST)
