Nowiki tags stop code from executing. We use it to demonstrate what to type to get an effect without the effect happening. You should have left the nowiki tags off of your signature. HTML isn't as hard as it seems. There are plenty of resources out there to learn with, and the site itself requires little to no HTML. There is some Wikimedia formatting required to keep the stories separate, but that is covered in the Format Rules so be sure to read and understand them. Did you read the -->Format Rules<-- That's a link. The instructions are rather straightforward. The simple section isn't terribly complicated, and that all that is absolutely necessary to contribute to the site. --Elerneron (talk) 16:08, 5 October 2022 (CEST)
