From All The Fallen Stories

You were born in the established viking colony of Storbritannia. Though stable for now, no matter where you turn the topic of the imminent Christian invasion is also on the tip of everyone tongue. The rulers of this land still cling to the old gods and tales of Valkyries under the guidance of the all-seeyer Odin and his family are constantly told by pagan priests throughout the isles. These stories both foreign and filled with beautiful descriptions beyond belief often cause you to wonder if there might be some truth to the gods after-all despite you never seeing one. The seasons are temperate and life is easy here as long as you know your way around the local area. The lords rule over his domain has never been questioned out loud as far as you can tell and recruitment centres seem to be filled to the brink with people of all dispositions looking for greater wealth and promises of glory.

Iron mines all over the land seem to dry up and no new viable mines seem to be discovered to replace them. This has caused the trade route though unstable to become a vital lifeline for smiths who are desperate to fulfil the growing demand of weaponry. A favourite weapon of all who live on the isles is the hunting bow which was adapted and decorated to Nordic standards; though no matter how adapted the vikings become to local culture a good old fashioned axe is the dream of every child looking to make a name for themselves.

In the north reaches of the Isles the mayor of a township known as Lothrend claims two youths appearing to be identical twins have been sighted running wild with a small pack of wolves. He claims them to be the blood of Loki and tells a story of how Loki up to his mischief once more had descended to give birth to the children of him and Fenrir whom he tricked through transformation magics. They both have wolfish ears and tails that betray their bloodline.

He calls the brother and sister pair Stryker and Skyler (Character Sheet)

Meanwhile further south in the Capital of Lendenin a prosperous city in which you can hear the constant beating of the blacksmiths hammer and neighing of horses. A girl is born to the relatives of Lord Ragnar Ericsson. Her skin pale as the north's snow and steel blue eyes that pierce the soul of any who gaze into their depths. She is named Astrid av Snow Luksdotr (Character Sheet) Her training will likely start from an early age and societal pressures and expectations will set a high bar for her early on. In celebration of the birth a feast was called and prisoners captured in battle were sacrificed in Odin's name.
