With Maebh's warning about supernatural forces wanting your ring, you aren't about to chock this up to your imagination. You hone your superhuman senses and scan the area.

"What are you-" starts Gwen, but you cut her off by holding up your hand. The girls both start looking around, trying to figure out what you are looking for no doubt. You aren't certain you know yourself. You could still be imagining things, but you've never felt the sense of being watched this strongly.

"I know you are here," you say in what you hope is a strong, calm tone. "Will you show yourself so that we can talk?"

"Yes," says a reverberating female voice as a massive woman appears in the middle of the tent. A full nine feet tall, she towers above all of you. She has an athletic physique, and short blond hair. Three light blue eyes without pupils look down at you. You find the rest a little difficult to take in as you find yourself staring at her six breasts. Needless to say . . . she is not human.

"Wh-who are you?" you stammer.

"I am Michael, Archangel of he who is called I AM."

"That's ummm . . . I thought Michael was male."

"Angels are neither male nor female."

"You're here about the ring."

"Obviously."

Even with Superman's powers you don't like your odds fighting an Archangel. You aren't certain how you'd fair if she? . . . he? . . . if Michael wants to take it from you.

Suddenly inspired, you talk directly to the ring. "I am the only one who can remove you from my finger, right Yes?" The ring flashes brilliantly for an instant as if to answer.

Michael looks at you with the same measured, unblinking gaze.

"What do you want?" you ask Michael.

"I want you to dispose of the ring . . . however God's will in this matter is clear. Our creator believes in the free will of humanity above all else. As you are human, it is not within my authority to take it from you. By that same token, this ring is quite possibly the greatest abomination to exist on the Earth as it subverts mankind's free will. I therefore chose to watch and wait."

"Wait for what?"

"The opportunity to take the ring without subverting your free will, of course . . . but you used its power to compel me to show myself instead. You could always just do what is right and give the ring to me."

Maybe the angel is right. You are subverting free will. You've never been religious, but it's kind of hard to ignore when it's right in front of you.

What do you do?
