"Will you stop doing anything until I tell you otherwise?" you scream.

Lucy freezes with her arm extended toward the girls. Fear taints their faces as they cower and hold each other. You quickly go to them, and pull them into your arms. Your heightened senses detect the charge of Lilith before she moves two feet. You punch her soundly in the jaw, and are amazed to see her head fly off and disappear over the horizon, which leads to the girls screaming as black blood sprays from Lilith's neck to completely coat the pair. What a mess.

"Hey blood," you say firmly, "could you kindly go back to where you came from and stay there?"

The blood reverses it course, every drop reentering Lilith's flopping corpse or flying off into the distance. You fly the girls off the roof, setting them on the sidewalk.

"Ladies, can you forget about the trouble we just had?"

"Sure," says Gwen.

"Okay," says Mina.

They both calm down immediately.

"Hey," says Mina, "what happened? How did we get here?"

"It was really traumatic," you say, "so I let you forget."

"What if I don't want to forget!" yells Gwen.

You cup her face gently. "I saw the look on your face, Gwen. Trust me, you wanted to forget."

"Okay then."

"What happened though?" asks Mina.

"Some demons showed up. I still have to deal with one of them. Can we pick this up later?"

"Sure." "Of course."

"I love you both," you say as you fly off. Do you really love Mina though? You barely know her. Too late for that now.

You arrive back on the roof with the frozen Lucy, and the body of Lilith which is still twitching somehow. Lucy's innocent looking child's body is frozen with a twisted smile of sick pleasure as she reaches out with her frozen arm like an evil god striking down that which offends her.

"You may speak," you say.

"Yes," she says as though it had been straining to come out. She remains perfectly transfixed like a statue. "Oh, you clever bitch. Someone's a quick study."

"Will you answer all of my questions with complete honesty?"

"Yes. Oh you're no fun."

"What is your name?"

"Samael."

"Samael, like-" you stop yourself as you almost ask a yes or no question.

"Hmmm," says Lucy . . . or rather Samael, "almost dropped the ball there. I may have underestimated you, but not by much it appears."

"I will make a series of statements. You will honestly tell me if the statements are true or false and add any pertinent details, agreed?"

"Yes. I probably would have done that anyway, you know?"

"You are Samael, also called Lucifer Morningstar, the devil of the Abrahamic Religions."

"True. It all started about thirteen billion years ago. I wasn't, then I was. It was all very startling I must tell you; and the first sight the I saw was the most beauti-"

"What are you doing? I didn't ask for you life story."

"You made a statement about my identity, so my life story is pertinent. You wanted the pertinent details on matters of your statements did you not?"

"You're going to be a pain in the ass."

"True. It is my duty . . . no pleasure . . . mission perhaps? to torture you pathetic apes every chance I get. My first target wasn't Job like most presume. It wa-"

"Could you keep to a brief sampling of the most pertinent details only?"

"Yes, of course."

"You might be more trouble than you are worth."

"False. I am the second most powerful being in the universe . . . Well, maybe third now."

"I am going to list some demands. Once I am done, will you agree to fulfill the demands?"

"Of course, I have no choice in the matter, Chad-WICK."

"First demand: You will use you influence in Sheol to ensure that none of that realms denizens, including yourself, all other fallen angels, or any other being or force from that place makes any attempt to take any power from me; or to cause harm to me, those I care about, or even those tangentially related to me without my clear, direct order to do so."

"Now you're sounding like a lawyer. I might fall asleep."

"Second demand: From this point on you will obey all of my commands without hesitation, or any attempt to pervert the intent of the command."

"Yeah, yeah, you're the boss. I get it. Sheesh."

"Third demand: You will protect me from any being or agency attempting to take power from me or harm me in any way."

"Ugh, I hate bodyguard duty. Can I delegate that?"

"No. Fourth demand: You will remain nearby in an unperceivable state unless called upon to fulfill your duties to me."

"Keep out of sight . . . got it."

"Do you agree to act in accordance to these demands?"

"Yes."

"Call me Master."

"Yes . . . Master," growls the devil.

"You may have control of your body once more." She stands upright, and flexes.

"We need to go to Sheol . . . Master."

"Why?"

"Because I have to stay by you, but I also have to order the denizens of Sheol to leave you alone. The only way to do both is to take you with me."

"You may go only for so long as you must to perform your duties by the most expedient method possible. Then you will return to me and take up your normal duties."

"Yes Master," she says, then disappears.

First period is almost over.

What do you do now?
