Well, perhaps your working relationship hasn't quite improved as much as you thought, but still, you don't quite feel right about not telling him anything about the program you are about to implement. "Um... sorry sir... I..." you begin, receiving a long and hard sigh from Mr. Gardner.

"Well, I suppose I don't have quite as much to worry about if it's you," he says. Before you have the chance to ask what he means by that or for him to continue on to explain, you are both cut off by the sudden appearance of Ms. Varano at your side, muscling her way past you to grab the door-knob to Mr. Gardner's office.

"I'm sorry sir," she says in a somewhat groveling tone, "I didn't tell him... ahh.. I'll take care of this." With these words, she pulls the door closed as she pulls you away from the office. "I'm sorry," she says to you, "I didn't notice you were going into Mr. Granville's office, I should have told you."

"Wait, what? What's going on?" You ask in confusion. Ms. Varano, meanwhile, seems to catch her breath in her flustered state. "Ah, right," she says. "Well, I guess you couldn't see him in there, Mr. Grinville is giving young Mr. Marlow his punishment that you ordered. He generally has me send people away from his office while this is going on, but... well, I guess it's not as bad if it's you since you're the one who ordered it and all, but still."

"Really!?" you respond "Did he have him under his desk or something?" All you get in response to this is an uncomfortable looking shrug from the poor secretary. This is an interesting situation though, your boss using the punishment to get blowjobs, you presume, under his desk. So, maybe he's not quite as angry at you after all.

• It's still proper to fill him in first, wait till he's done.
• Just tell Ms. Varano what you want, have her fill him in later.
• Ask her how often he has Mark Marlow in there.
• Go back in there and disregard what you know is going on.
