Why is there no manipulation/mind control magic? If there are values for exposure, love and trust, shouldn't there be magic to at the least, increase their growth? I mean, if you falsely raise it enough to do something, and it then falls lower than the threshold, you'd get in trouble when they tell someone. If, however, there was a spell to relax their inhibitions and encourage certain behaviors, then it would speed up increasing say, exposure, so they don't mind running around naked sooner. Or increase trust or love more rapidly as it enhances the impact of small things you do. It would raise trust by 5, but with the spell in place reinforcing the "lesson" it instead raises it 15. --[[User:Notsooldpervert|Notsooldpervert]] ([[User talk:Notsooldpervert|talk]]) 18:46, 24 June 2018 (CEST) | Why is there no manipulation/mind control magic? Why is the only magic you know "false negative" not listed with the rest of the Concealment magic? Is it so secret that nobody else knows it? I feel it should appear on the list. --Tod Naturlich (talk) 21:23, 28 May 2018 (CEST)
Quite simple, I accidentally wrote "positive" instead of "negative." There should be no "false positive" under concealment magic. I've corrected the error. Jemini (talk) 01:13, 29 May 2018 (CEST)
I was thinking perhaps both magic existed. The "false positive" was used to simulate something was there when it really wasn't, and the "false negative" was to simulate something wasn't there, when it really was. I assumed the "false positive" was known, and thus measures were taken to prevent it's use, but the protagonist use of "false negative" was not so well known, and thus he managed to get away with things. --Tod Naturlich (talk) 01:33, 29 May 2018 (CEST)
"False positive" doesn't fit the motif of "concealment." Concealment magic only hides things. It's supposed to be that concealment magic, regardless of how many people actually have it, is just about completely unknown due to how well the holders of it conceal themselves. Jemini (talk) 01:55, 29 May 2018 (CEST)
"False positive" can very much fit the motif of "concealment" when it's used as a method to deflect blame. "You say there's a little girl that's pregnant and she's under my care? well, have you looked to her neighbor?" --Quiller (talk) 05:00, 29 May 2018 (CEST)
Hmm... guess that's worth consideration. I'll have to think about that one. Of course, there is also the question of whether or not that line of approach can be implemented in the game. So, if fullmetal or I can think of a way to implement it, I will revisit the concept of adding the spell. Jemini (talk) 05:29, 29 May 2018 (CEST)
Instead of calling it "False positive" you could term it as "Plant Evidence". In keeping with the game theme, you could have a "Heat" mechanic. From the description of some of the other spells, it sounds like one is kinda planned. "Plant Evidence" is a last-ditch spell when used defensively. It massively lowers heat at the expense of raising the "Global heat". If the kid remains in your care after the "Plant Evidence" then they are tagged as at risk of further molestation and any new actions involving them raise heat at 3x the normal rate, Also since there are child molesters on people's minds then any action with any child will raise your personal heat as an advanced rate until things blow over a bit. The true beauty of "Plant Evidence" comes from the fact that it can also be used offensively. The local priest is speaking out against you? well, now he's a kiddy diddler. Maybe you can now buy his church as a new building (and a source for sacrilegious fetish sex). There should be a few ways to make the priest be willing to offer his church for sale. Everything from charming him to corrupting to mind control to planting evidence against him and watching him be hauled away. --Quiller (talk) 06:44, 29 May 2018 (CEST)
--Notsooldpervert (talk) 18:46, 24 June 2018 (CEST)
