“Ye’ ain’t getting away without giving up ye’ treasure!” You demand, linking arms firmly with Roni, much to your little sister’s enjoyment as she also holds tighter to your jacket.
“Ha! All right, I give up,” Brittany says, “what kind of treasure do you guys want?”
“Cookies!” You blurt out.
-gasp- “Cookies!” Roni mirrors, becoming fairly excited.
“Cookies? All right, you pirates, but I’ll have ye’ swabbing the deck in exchange.”
“Huh?” Roni replies.
“She wants us to clean the floors.” You tell her.
“Awww! But I was about to go to the park!” She says. “I wanted to see if Xander wanted to come.”
“All right, all right,” Brittany concedes. “I’ll just send you off with some cookies then, how’s that sound?”
“Yaaayyyy!” Roni says, jumping up and down after having released her grip on your older sister.
“By the way,” Brittany adds, “who’s taking you to the park? You’re not going by yourself I hope.”
“Charity’s taking us!” Roni announces.
“Charity!?” Brittany says with a slight edge in her voice, “I’m not sure about that.”
